Cushions

A cushion is the smallest change you can make to a room and still feel it.

Ours are made from Belgian linen and heavy, high-quality cotton fabrics chosen because they hold their shape, take print beautifully, and improve rather than tire with use. Alongside them we make a range in velvet, for rooms that want depth and a little weight of colour.

Our cushions are hand embroidered. The textures are the reason people pick them up: raised stitch against flat weave, the slight sheen of embroidery thread catching light across a linen ground. Each cover is finished by hand.

They are designed to be layered rather than matched. A hand-embroidered piece beside a printed one. A large square behind two smaller rectangles. Texture against texture, so that a room reads as gathered rather than bought all at once. Our palettes are built to work together across collections, which means a cushion you buy this year will sit comfortably beside one you buy next year.

They also go almost anywhere. This is the thing customers discover after the fact and we should say up front: these cushions are versatile enough for a living room, a bedroom, or outdoors. We make a waterproof outdoor range beautifully embroidered and printed, and heat tested for outdoor use so a balcony or a garden can carry the same prints as the sofa inside. The outdoor range is made to order only, as it requires a minimum quantity. Write to us at info@peaches.sg to start one.

The craft is the point. Working closely with our family-run unit in India, we make each cover with genuine care and attention—hand-finished, hand-embroidered where the design calls for it, and checked before it is packed. Cushions also make particularly good gifts. They are personal without being presumptuous, they suit almost any home, and they carry a story worth repeating when the recipient is asked where they came from.

Cushions

Discover our collection of luxury cushions in Singapore, crafted in linen, cotton, silk and velvet to bring comfort, texture and character to your home.

THE RANGES:

Linen and cotton-Belgian linen and heavy cotton, hand embroidered and printed. The everyday range, and the most versatile.

Velvet-Deeper, softer, and heavier in colour. For rooms that want richness.

Outdoor-Waterproof, heat tested, and beautifully embroidered and printed. Made to order only, with a minimum quantity.

How to choose the right cushion:

Start with size. A 46cm x 46cm square is the standard and the safest place to begin: it suits most sofas and most beds. Move up 56cm x 56cm for a deep or generously proportioned sofa, where a smaller cushion will simply disappear. Lumbar rectangles, around 30cm x 46cm for support rather than decoration: they go where the small of your back goes.

Then work out the arrangement. Odd numbers look intentional; even numbers look symmetrical. A three-seater usually takes three to five cushions, a two-seater two or three. On a bed, work from largest at the back to smallest at the front.

Vary the texture, hold the palette. The easiest way to make a scheme look considered is to keep the colours within one family and let the surfaces do the contrasting: a flat weave next to a plush one, a print next to a plain.

Match the cushion to the room's use. A formal sitting room can carry silk. A room where children and dogs live wants something more robust.

And choose the insert deliberately. A cover is only as good as what is inside it. See our cushion inserts — the difference between a cushion that holds its shape and one that sags is almost always the insert, not the cover.
